Tebo our Creative Director

Tebo is the driving force behind Mumuland.

On 23rd August 2023 a small gathering of FIVE Mumus decided to re-create the 30th Anniversary of the day that the K-Foundation burnt one million pounds on a small island in Scotland.

The idea was immediately taken up by the FIVE and plans were put in place for the Mumuland Festival to take place on 23rd August 2024 !

Chix our Firedance Queen !

Chix has been working with us since Nov 2023.

For her first performance at Virgin Beach we asked her to swing fire while standing on one of the KLFRS canoes in the middle of the Ocean. At the last minute she told us she couldn’t swim so she was tied to the mast swinging fire and standing just above a box of 30 fireworks !

After her act she untied herself, retired to the back of the canoe and lit the fireworks !

Jodie our Set Designer

Jodie and her partner Jesna live on a remote farm in the hills behind Jatiluwih.

Jesna trained as a sculptor at Art College so when we asked him to build  a small KLF Pyramid Speaker he quickly put together a 3 metre high model which we then attached to a canoe at Virgin Beach !

Since then they have built many pieces for our filmshoots, including a pair of Feet 6m high and the enormous 7m high Hands that you will see at Mumuland.

And wait until you see the Main Stage that they are building for the Mumuland Festival; a re-imagined 20,000 year old Ancient City from the distant mists of Indonesian history………..

They are both passionate Metal fans so we have included some early 90s Death Metal into the Mumuland theatre spectacle !

Hoda Fadel

Hoda is a recent member of the Mumuland Team.

Hoda Fadel, a true devotee of the existential mystery, brings music to life with an artistry that defies easy categorization. The Lebanon-born, Bali-rooted DJ and producer doesn’t merely blend sounds; she dismantles and reconstructs them into pure energy through the amalgamation of uptempo rhythms, mystical undertones, and edgy techno beats, leaving you questioning whether you have ever truly danced before.

Each of her tracks resonates with profound purpose, crafting her signature sound: “Music as a tool for finding oneself.” Through this, she channels a transformative space for listeners to explore the outer limits of each musical revelation.

DJ Backupforces

DJ Joh was the winner of our K-Vision DJ Kontest in April 2024.

We connected with him immediately for his eclectic mix of Balinese infused KLF samples.

He often plays with his group Karya Guna Bhakti who describe their music as Fusion Electronic Shamanic Tribes Deep House.

Beat that !
